The Board have agreed an annual membership fee of €15 for all member categories and the closing date for ‘full’ membership entitlements for the current year as 31 March 2026. Annual membership runs from January to December.

This project forms part of a wider research study examining the social and economic impacts of living with a rare disease on families of children with rare diseases across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The research is being conducted as part of a PhD project by researchers at University College Dublin.

The WAM Programme: 23 Job Opportunities with Local Authorities - Closing February 11th 2026
Willing Able Mentoring (WAM) is a work placement programme which aims to promote access to the labour market for graduates with disabilities and build the capacity of employers to integrate disability into the mainstream workplace. Through WAM, both the employer and graduate are supported to ensure practical work-oriented solutions with a focus on inclusive work practices. Since 2005, The WAM Programme has provided over 700 placements for graduates with disabilities.

Disability Federation of Ireland Partners with European Colleagues on NewIN-HABIT Inclusive Housing Project
The Disability Federation of Ireland are working alongside European partners on the IN-HABIT project. DFI is a federation of member organisations working with people with disabilities to implement the UN CRPD and ensure their equal participation in society. MDI aswell as other charities that provide advice and support to people with disabilities are member organsation are a part of DFI. The goal of the IN-HABIT project is to foster inclusive housing solutions by strengthening the capacity of housing professionals, service providers, and local authorities to support people with disabilities. The target groups of this partnership are Housing professionals, Service providers for people with disabilities, Local authority professionals and People with disabilities & their circle of support members.
