MDI Barretstown Camp 2026 – Expression of Interest Now Open!
We can hardly believe it, but 2026 marks Year 3 of MDI’s Barretstown Camp! Following the amazing success of the past two years, we are thrilled to be returning for another weekend full of fun, connection, and unforgettable memories.
Camp Dates: Weekend of 15th to 17th May 2026
Thanks to MDI funders, this camp is completely free for all attendees. All your family’s needs will be catered for, including accessible accommodation, meals, activities, and 24-hour medical and nursing support.
About Barretstown & MDI Family Camp
Barretstown provides specially designed camps and programmes for children and families living with serious health conditions, supported by 24-hour on-site medical and nursing care. Since opening in 1994, it has welcomed over 127,000 campers and is recognised internationally for delivering safe, inclusive and life-enhancing camp experiences.
In partnership with Barretstown, MDI’s Family Camp is a fully accessible weekend camp experience for our young members aged 1–17 years and their families, offering activities such as kayaking, arts and crafts, music, film-making, horse riding, climbing walls and more - all in a safe, supportive and magical environment.
Siblings love camp too! This year, we have something unique planned just for them, so they can enjoy their own special experience during the weekend.
New and Returning Families Welcome
We are especially excited to welcome new families and those who have recently become members of MDI. Families who joined us over the past couple of years were amazed at the benefits - both children and adults couldn’t wait to come back! Don’t be shy - everyone will be made to feel completely at home and part of the fun from the moment you arrive. As one parent said:

Applications Now Open
We’re now inviting families of children living with a neuromuscular conditions - including their parents, carers and siblings - to apply for MDI Barretstown Camp 2026.
Places are limited, so we encourage you to complete the expression of interest form as soon as possible. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 3rd March 2026.
