The Ollie Hickey Fund: Supporting Mollie’s Horse Riding Journey

Mollie wirth her horse,Scoobie

We are delighted to share how the Ollie Hickey Fund has positively impacted the life of one of our young members, Mollie. With the support of the fund, Mollie has been able to start horse riding lessons. Her grandad proudly shares that Mollie finds ‘tremendous enjoyment’ riding her horse, Scoobie. This experience not only enriches Mollie's life but also helps her develop new skills and build her confidence.

The Ollie Hickey Fund aims to support individuals with neuromuscular conditions by providing access to necessary equipment, further education, or enabling them to pursue activities that foster personal growth and interests, helping them fully participate in society and reach their full potential.

Following the success of Walk4Ollie in 2023, the second Walk4Ollie event, takes place from 16th – 20th July. This year’s walk will cover the scenic Waterford Greenway route, starting in Dungarvan and concluding in Enfield. All funds raised will be allocated to the Ollie Hickey Fund, ensuring continued support for our members.
