With just one match day left the AIPF Premier League has come down to the last day with not two but three teams in serious contention to take the trophy home. A convincing 3-1 win for Heroes Cork in their latest round of matches against longtime rivals Midlands United put them into pole position with a slight lead over Midlands and reigning champions Belfast Trailblazers leading into the final round of fixtures on March 7th.

We are thrilled to share the highlights of a special event held at MDI Head Office on Wednesday, 5th February, where three of our members were presented with power soccer wheelchairs to support their participation in Powerchair Football. This initiative is a major step in ensuring that our members have access to the equipment they need to thrive in the sport.

We would like to wish the Republic of Ireland Powerchair Football Squad the best of luck as players, coaches Paul Gorman and Conal Fagan, and support staff take to the waters, roads, and skies tomorrow to travel to Inverclyde Scotland for this weekend’s tournament with hosts Scotland, England, and Northen Ireland. Great matches ahead, renewing old rivalries and catching up with old friends.
