Help Shape Future Research: Join Our PPI Group

Patient and Public Involvement otherwise known as PPI, refers to people working in partnership with researchers to set research priorities, and to plan, design, manage, and evaluate research studies.  It may also involve sharing the results of a research study and suggesting ways to implement research findings into practice. Including PPI contributors ensures that the unique insights of people with neuromuscular conditions are considered in research planning, making the studies more meaningful to the community.

MDI has a small group of PPI contributors who participated in two research studies last year. We are keen to expand this group and particularly welcome parents and caregivers of people with a neuromuscular condition. To learn more about PPI, please click here. If you would like to get involved, please contact Dympna Mulroy at mdiresearch@mdi.ie
