Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI) is pleased to invite you to our CONGENITAL MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY COMMUNITY GATHERING and NATIONAL YOUTH CLUB

📍 In-person at Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, 75 Lucan Road, Chapelizod, D20 DR77

· We are excited to welcome the following speakers:

• Dr Reghan Foley, Senior Research Physician and neuromuscular specialist with a clinical research focus on congenital muscular dystrophies. While usually based at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) in the USA, Dr Foley is currently in Ireland on a scholarship.

• Patrick S Cassidy is a student living with the congenital muscular dystrophy, Collagen VI, and will speak about his journey to where he is currently in his life.

• Andrea Tobin is Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist working as part of the specialist neuromuscular service in Children’s Health Ireland and CRC.

· We welcome families, young people and adults living with any of the congenital muscular dystrophies including Collagen VI-related dystrophies, LAMA2-related dystrophies, LMNA-related congenital muscular dystrophy, alpha-dystroglycanopathies and SELENON-related dystrophy.

· Opportunity to get together as a community and learn together.

· National youth club for under 18’s with all neuromuscular conditions and siblings will take place in person at the same time as the community gathering event.

· Time for questions and discussion.
