Aims of the Family Peer Support Connection Programme

  • MDI are looking to connect families together who would like to share and learn from each other’s similar experiences.

  • Many families are facing the same challenges and sharing experiences can be empowering.

  • Community connection has many different benefit’s, it helps create a sense of belonging and comfort knowing you can talk to someone who fully understands.

  • Support and guidance to parents from parents.

  • Assisting families to connect through shared experiences and process their journeys together.

  • Create new friendships for children.

  • Helping families know they are not alone.

  • If you are a family who would like to engage in the above, please fill out application form / contact staff to join our families peer support contact list where you will be connected with another family on a similar journey.
