Johnny Matthews Golf Classic Raises Support for MDI and Three Fellow Charities

The 6th Annual Johnny Matthews Golf Classic took place at Tramore Golf Club, Waterford on the 10th and 11th of July, raising funds and support for four charities: Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, Cystic Fibrosis Waterford, Autism Friendly Waterford and The Waterford Foodbank.

The event was followed by a Presentation Night at the club, celebrating Johnny Matthews and his positive contribution to Waterford F.C. and the wider football family in Waterford. Representatives from each of the four charities were given the opportunity to speak on the night and highlight the work they do in their communities.

Muscular Dystrophy Ireland would like to sincerely thank the organisers, Tramore Golf Club, and everyone who played, volunteered and supported the event. Fundraisers like this make a real difference to the services and supports we provide to people living with neuromuscular conditions and their families across Ireland.

You can still donate

The event may be over, but the fundraising page is still live. If you would like to support the Johnny Matthews Golf Classic and the four charities benefiting from it, you can donate securely through iDonate here:https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/johnnymatthewsmemorialclassic1

Every donation, big or small, goes directly to the four causes. You can also share the page with friends and family to help spread the word.

Thank you for your support.
