It is with deepest regret that we have to share the news of the passing of our wonderful friend and colleague Jimmy Murray.
It is with deepest regret that we have to share the news of the passing of our wonderful friend and colleague Jimmy Murray.
Jimmy was a very proud member of our MDI family, starting as the chairman many years ago and then a valued member of the staff team for an incredible 25+ years. Jimmy was a true representation of our organisation, his willingness to go above and beyond for, not only our members, but for every member of the staff team that knew him, was just one of his passions, he will be irreplaceable.
Jimmy was not just someone we worked alongside, he was our staff lotto co-ordinator, he always had time for a chat (which always came back to football, a lifelong fan of Derby County Football Club), a kind word, a wise word, a giving out to (when needed), a willingness to help, a fry-up on a Monday lunchtime, a cheeky joke, a staff family order fish run on a Friday morning, and a wealth of knowledge to our members and staff team that will certainly leave a huge void in MDI.
Lunch times will never be the same again.
Our sincere heartfelt condolences go to his loving wife Margaret, his two children Sam and Emma whom he wholeheartedly adored.
