At Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI), we aim to provide as many serviecs as possible to our members. We are currently in the process of developing a new Early Years Supports Programme, and hope to pilot this over the coming months. We will be providing both online and in-person supports for our members in an aim to ensure this programme is open to as many of our young members and their parents/carers across the country.
For our first online information sessions, we have collaborated with Neurolinks Ireland to provide the parents/carers of our youngest members with an interesting, educational and fun way to connect with their wider community, make new friends and develop new support networks.
About The Online Information Session:
This online information session will be faciltated be Dr. Shane Cassidy, a leading pracitioner in the field of neurological music therapy (NMT). Dr. Cassidy has completed extensive research in the field of NMT, and has spent time working as part of the team in the National Rehabilitaion Hospital (NRH). Dr. Cassidy has founded Neurolinks, a music therapy clinic based in Dublin. The team in neurolinks hold extensive experince working with people from many different backgrounds.
This online information session is focused on providing information to the parents/carers of our younger members from birth to the age of 7.
