Connecting the myotonic dystrophy community (online)

  • Muscular Dystrophy Society of Ireland Ltd 75 Lucan Road Dublin, D, D20 DR77 Ireland (map)

Free online peer support group, Monday 7-8pm on below dates. People living with myotonic dystrophy and family/carers are welcome.

MDI wishes to offer members of the myotonic dystrophy community an opportunity to meet online with a qualified group facilitator. This online peer support will give you a chance to meet others who may share similar experiences living with myotonic dystrophy or members who are supporting family and friends living with the condition. The group will help connect members in the myotonic community and offer you a safe space to talk about your experiences and support one another. The group will meet for four sessions during the year from 7 to 8pm.

A little bit about Jordane who will assist with facilitating the group: Jordane has a master’s degree in creative psychotherapy and a diploma in creative supervision, having trained with the Children’s Therapy Centre. She currently works in a family resource centre as Therapeutic Coordinator/Manager of Therapeutic Services and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist.
