We are excited to announce the launch of our 8-week Adapted Pilates series.

We are excited to announce the launch of our 8-week Adapted c series as part of MDI's Fitness and Mobility Programme, starting online this September, during Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month. Following the tremendous success of our taster class in June, we are pleased to welcome back Janette Penney from Inner Strength Pilates. This programme is free of charge, and a key highlight of our awareness month activities.

What to Expect:

  • An 8-week, chair-based Pilates programme designed to be supportive and inclusive for all ages and abilities.

  • Flexible participation: Choose to keep your camera on or off and take breaks as needed.

  • Interactive sessions: Opportunity at the end of each class to ask questions and provide feedback.

  • Recorded sessions: Two of the classes will be recorded and shared with you, allowing you to practice at home and reinforce the movements and techniques learned.

You are welcome to join at any point during the series, but we recommend starting from the beginning to get the most benefit from the foundational exercises.

Classes are commencing Wednesday 4th September at 2.30pm and will continue for 8 consecutive weeks. Based on feedback, we know many of your teens have half days from school on Wednesdays, making this an ideal time to join in. This programme is a fantastic way to stay active, connect with others, and support the Muscular Dystrophy community.

We look forward to seeing you in September and making progress together over the eight weeks.
