“I was delighted to attend the all Island Biobank symposium today. Establishing a dedicated biobank for muscular dystrophies and related neuromuscular disorders in Ireland could help in bridging gaps in our current medical research infrastructure. We have dedicated Individual researchers that track specific data, but listening to the broad range of speakers today, it might be time for Ireland to have a centralized, publicly listed biobank for rare neuromuscular diseases.”
MDI CEO Alan Breathnach reports from the All-Island Biobank Symposium at Queen’s University, Belfast.
