Green Paper on Disability Reform: A Public Consultation to Reform Disability Payments in Ireland

The Department of Social Protection is exploring changes to disability payments. New proposed additional payments may be categorised based on tiers of disability. A Green Paper on Disability Reform: A Public Consultation to Reform Disability Payments in Ireland has been released. Submissions are invited from individuals and stakeholder organisations, particularly people with disabilities, Disabled Persons’ Organisations and Disabled Persons’ Representative Organisations, to share their views. The public consultation will be open until 15 December 2023 and submissions will be accepted in written and video format. As a member organisation of Disability Federation Ireland (DFI), we are feeding into a submission being prepared by DFI. If you’d like to let us know your views, please email mdiinfo@mdi.ie.
