Book now for MDI National Conference 2026

Be part of the conversation shaping our community’s future! Join us on Saturday 21 November in Croke Park, Dublin, for MDI’s National Conference, Shared Voices, Shared Strength.

This has been a significant year for our community, with successful campaigns securing reimbursement for treatments for people living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). On this theme, we’re delighted to welcome Pádraig O’Sullivan TD as keynote speaker. Pádraig is a longtime advocate on health and disability issues, including access to treatments for rare conditions. He will be joined by campaign advocates Helen Kearney, Aoife McNicholl and Karen Thompson to reflect on these achievements, the power of collective advocacy and the challenges that remain in securing timely access to treatments.

Come along to connect with others, share experiences and be part of our community.
