Caitlin McAuley
"I'm Caitlin, and I'm 24 years old. I'm the twin sister of my brother Conor, who lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Growing up, side by side with DMD as part of our everyday life has shaped who I am in more ways than I can count. My family and I have faced many challenges together. Along the way, l've also carried some of the quieter emotions that can come with being a sibling - especially the guilt of being able to do things Conor couldn't and learning how to navigate life while someone you love is living with a progressive condition. Those experiences, both difficult and meaningful, have ultimately made me the person I am today. By sharing my story, I hope to offer insight, honesty, and reassurance to other families and siblings walking a similar path."
