Torremolinos
The accessibility is very good. You can park your car and follow the blue line straight to the beach. The toilets are wheelchair- accessible and the council runs them; they are very clean. The restaurants on the beach have their own sun beds which you can rent and you can also use their facilities, all very accessible. The hotels are all good, very accessible and user friendly. You can order an accessible scooter and it is delivered to your hotel. There is about 6km of promenade along the sea and loads to see and do. You are 15 mins from the airport and the airport assistance is very good. The train system is very good for people with disabilities as it gives the opportunity to visit Malaga city about 30 mins away and other resorts. Malaga is a beautiful clean city.

Activity and Attractions: Lexicon Library, DL, changing place etc.
Feedback: I visited the Lexicon Library in Dun Laoghaire recently. It’s an outstanding library and community resource with a café, lecture theatre, art activity space, gallery etc and it has excellent wheelchair accessible toilets with a changing place.
Hotel: Glasson Lakehouse, Glasson, Co. Westmeath
Feedback: Totally accessible, including ramps, level access throughout. Very large and well maintained accessible toilets. Bath in the rooms and a walk in shower. Hot tub option is not accessible but other than that it caters well for those of us with mobility issues. I’m almost sure they provide mobility aids also. Ample parking with level tarmac. We did not encounter any accessibility issues so we did not need to ask the staff for assistance. Both my partner and I have mobility issues but the accessibility of this hotel made it a wonderful stay. They should be example to other hotels.
Holiday destination: Teach Susie accessible accommodation, Portnoo Co. Donegal
Feedback: This newly opened rental accomodation had everything we need, and more....level access throughout ground floor and to patio and garden. Double profiling bed and single profiling bed in ground floor bedroom, hoist, shower chair, fully accessible bathroom, shower bed. Accessible kitchen. Manuals provided for all equipment and lots of input from Aisling , the owner . It is a stunning property that sleeps up to 10 people. The nearby beach at Nairn has a motorised beach wheelchair and a hoist. This is a super place to go.
Lots of further details on the Teach Susie Facebook and Instagram pages. Check out Nairn beach motorised wheelchair page on Facebook.
