As a paid-up member of MDI, we are very pleased to let you know that, as of August 1st 2025 the nominations process for potential election to our board of directors is now open.

This year there is one General Board Member seat up for election.

Like the previous year, the board has made the decision that the AGM process will be carried out in a hybrid manner – electronically by Zoom facility and in person at MDI’s Offices, 75 Lucan Road, Chapelizod, Dublin D20 DR77.

The date for the AGM has been agreed for Saturday, 6th September 2025.

Please note that you can download the PDF nomination and application forms and fill them in on your personal computer.  

All nominations received by the deadline date of August 22nd 2025  will be reviewed by the board against pre-set published criteria (as outlined in the forms above). If the board assesses that there is a greater number of eligible nominees than positions on the board, then an election will be held across the entire paid-up membership. Details of how to vote, along with biographic profiles will be circulated to paid-up members on August 22nd 2025 . The information provided in the biographic profiles will be taken directly from the nomination forms submitted to MDI.

Please note that ‘paid up members’ are MDI members who have paid their annual subscription on or by the 31 March 2025.

Please send completed forms (nomination and application forms) to Head of Services, Ms Ashling Kennedy by email, to headofservices@mdi.ie or by post to MDI, 75 Lucan Road, Chapelizod, D20 DR77 by 5pm on 22nd August 2025.

Summary of key dates:

  • Board member nomination period – 1st to 22nd August 2025

  • Board member elections (if needed) - 22nd to 29th August 2025

  • Notice of AGM published and sent to members – 15th August 2025

  • Deadline for proxy forms, registering attendance at AGM and notice to members of election results – 30th August 2025 (details to follow soon)

  • MDI AGM – 6th September 2025
