Minister for Health wants to prioritise the vaccination of 12 to 15-year-olds with underlying conditions
July 2nd, 2021
MDI welcomes Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly’s statement on Morning Ireland, RTE 1, that he wants to prioritise the vaccination of 12 to 15-year-olds with underlying conditions. The Minister said the National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) is looking at this. Following the approval by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) of the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine, MDI wrote to Minister Donnelly and the Chair of NIAC, Professor Karina Butler, in early June asking for the prioritisation of 12 to 15-year-olds with neuromuscular conditions. You can listen back to his statement at the very end of the interview here.
