Gallery of younger members’ activities

July 28th, 2023

Take a tour of our gallery of young members’ activities from earlier this year as part of MDI’s Youth Services Programme. They include alpaca trekking, a virtual reality youth club, an outing to Newgrange Farm, an arts and crafts workshop and a day out on the river, Shannon.

MDI member, Calvin Reaney (above), was one of the participants at our mind-blowing virtual reality youth club in Dundalk back in February.

We held a national youth club in Portlaoise in April where members enjoyed a busy morning of arts and crafts. Left to right above: Olivia Lynch, Niamh Handy, Sam Gowing, Sinéad Glennon and Edel Ryan.

Alpacas are a big hit with members this year! We held a National Siblings’ Day at K2 Alpacas, County Wicklow, also in April. Included in the photo above are members, Michael Reaney, Naomi Reaney, April-Rose Reaney, Odhran Quirke and Seán Reaney.

And then we visited another alpaca farm in May. See below, members of the sibling youth club, left to right, and Odhran Quirke and Oisín Allen Walter, taking their alpacas for a walk at Andean Alpacas, Mullingar.

A group of young members got to try their hand at being Vikings for the afternoon on a day out on the river, Shannon, in May. Left to right above: Sam Gowing, Odhran Quirke and Layla Flaherty.

Keep an eye out for our next MDI News Update where we’ll include some photos of further recent activities including:
