MDI Virtual Youth Club

April 26th, 2020

The MDI Youth Service is all about giving our young members the opportunity to get together, form friendships, share experiences, have fun and build confidence and self-esteem. It is primarily about meeting up with our members, face to face, giving our young members a social outlet however the Youth Worker team have now been exploring a number of new alternative fun ways to engage and keep our young members connected with each other.
One of which is the set up a new MDI VIRTUAL YOUTH CLUB using Zoom, a safe and secure online platform to bring members and Youth Workers together. Zoom is a free downloadable app downloaded from the App Store & Play Store and is available for use on phones, tablets and laptops. The app will allow Youth Workers to connect with members in real-time and have fun with challenges, activities and prizes.
Members and their families will be able to communicate with the MDI Youth Team directly, as well as chatting with other MDI members. This will be a safe place, and only invited members will be able to participate in the sessions.
If you would like to be involved in this, please contact your local MDI Youth Worker, if you are unsure who this is or you do not have a Youth Worker at present please contact mdiinfo@mdi.ie or phone 086 0293789
