About Muscular Dystrophy Ireland
Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI) is a voluntary organisation, which was established in 1972 by a small group of people in the west of Ireland to support families who had a member with muscular dystrophy.
Since then it has grown considerably and it now has a membership of over 750 members and a network of branches throughout Ireland.
For more detailed information about who we are, what we do and specific information about the different types of muscular dystrophy (or neuromuscular conditions) choose any of the sub tabs under the “About MDI” link.
If you require any other information other than what is listed on our website please do not hesitate to contact our Information Officer on this link.
