Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney

The Ireland Bike Fest in Killarney has been growing from strength to strength each year and the 2010 event proved to be no exception. This years event took place from 4th - 7th June 2010 (Bank Holiday Weekend) and as in previous years, the atmosphere was just fantastic with lots of "mean machines" to admire, entertainment to enjoy, bargains to buy, and sunshine to soak - with the odd shower to prevent us from getting too hot!!!

Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI) has been proudly associated with this event since its conception in 2006.
We can now confirm that the total raised for this year’s event was €21,400 which is great. Although we were slightly disappointed that we didn’t exceed last years figure of €22,500, we still cant complain as it’s been a very tough year for everyone and to achieve what we achieved is fantastic. This is a wonderful achievement and thanks to everyone concerned for all their hard work and support in helping to achieve this. All proceeds from this event, as in previous years, will go towards the provision of holiday and respite support services for people with muscular dystrophy.
MDI are in particular, extremely grateful to both The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry and Harley Davidson Ireland who have been supporting us with our Awareness and Fundraising activities since 2006. We really appreciate being associated with this event and look forward to enjoying a continued and growing fundraising initiative together.

MDA Harley Davidson Pins
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) - MDI’s sister organisation in the USA in conjunction with Harley Davidson in the USA and Europe also raise thousands of euro each year through the sale of official Harley-Davidson MDA Pins.
Each year a limited edition of a new MDA pin is produced and sold at Harley Davidson rallys worldwide to raise funds for local muscular dystrophy associations.
The 2010 MDA Harley Davidson pin (which is also the 30th Anniversary Pin, marking 30 years of Harley Davidson's involvement with MDA), was also sold at this event and if you didn't get this unique anniversary and officcial 2010 MDA Harley Davidson Pin we still have a limited amount of these left for sale for just €5.00 (plus €1 post and packaging). These pins are a much sought after and fashion accessory for both bikers and non-bikers alike.
