Membership of MDI

Muscular Dystrophy Ireland is a membership organisation with a membership of 590 members nationwide. Membership is divided into four categories:
1. Individual Membership – applies to adult members with the condition
2. Family Membership – applies to families where parents or children have the
condition
3. Friends of MDI – people with an interest in the organisation and/or support the organisation through fundraising events
4. Professionals – other organisations affiliated to MDI, funders or those who have an interest in the organisation.
Membership runs from the 1st January to 31st December each year and an annual subscription rate applies. The rates are as follows:
Person with MD - €15.00
Family Membership - €20.00
Friend of MDI - €15.00
A Membership Form is posted to all current members and interested parties every January to renew their membership. This form is then returned with the relevant annual subscription rate and is used to update members contact details on the MDI database.
The closing date for receipt of membership fees is 28th of February each year and it is important to note that in order to have a vote at Annual General Meetings and EGMs, to serve on the National Council and Executive, and also have full access to all services, membership must be fully paid.
To become a member of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland download the MDI Membership Application Form, complete it and return it to the address therein with the relevant subscription fee.
