Since 2006, The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry and Harley Davidson Ireland have been supporting Muscular Dystrophy Ireland with our Awareness and Fundraising activities. This fundraising initiative has gone from strength to strength each year and has raised over €130,000 for MDI since its conception. The 2017 rally of the now well established "Ireland Bike Fest" took place from 2nd to the 4th June 2017 and raised a further €9,500 for MDI, which was a roaring success!
We would like to thank the Staff and Management of the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney for once again organising and hosting this event. We at MDI are delighted to have been charity partners at this fabulous festival since the first BikeFest in 2006 and long may this association continue. Thanks also to everyone who sold and bought tickets and helped to make this fundraising initiative for MDI a great success. Your support is very much appreciated.
As in previous years at the Ireland BikeFest in Killarney, The Gleneagle Hotel and Harley Davidson Ireland arranged for a Harley Davidson Bike to be raffled at this event, with all proceeds going to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland. The draw took place on Sunday 4th June 2017 at 6.00pm and the lucky winner was Martina Arlant Durin from Killarney, Co Kerry. 2nd prize went to Mick Walsh and the 3rd prize was won by Tina Paul from Cork.
Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets for our raffle this year and for supporting the work of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI). Thanks also to everyone who prurchased our MDA Harley Davidson pins and/or who made donations to MDI. Your support helped us raise over €9,500 (gross) at this years event which was a great success! So, thanks again for your on-going support and contributions, which as always is very much appreciated.
