MyCarity.ie provides a web based fundraising and donation service to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland.

On MyCharity.ie you can:

1. Donate to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland
You have the ability to make a secure donation directly to MDI using Laser (Debit Cards) or Mastercard and Visa (Credit Cards). You can also make payments under the Direct Debit Plus scheme.  

2.  Create a fundraising page
Fundraisers can select MDI to fundraise for.  With minimal effort, fundraisers can customise their own fundraising page to their own design with a URL, title, colour scheme, personnel message and picture.  The page is immediately presented live on the web, ready to accept donations.

The primary source of funding for Muscular  Dystrophy Ireland is the Health Executive Service.  This funding primarily covers the cost of core support staff and front line staff salaries (e.g.  Family Support Workers, Youth Respite Workers, Support Staff, etc).  However, MDI really depends on voluntary donations, subscriptions, and  fund raising events each year to ensure that services such as Camps, Emergency  Respite, Equipment, Transport, Youth Activities, Research, etc. are always available to our members. Without the support of fellow members, friends and the general public, MDI could not provide such services. Therefore, fundraising  activities and donations are always very welcomed and appreciated by MDI.
