All Ireland Cross Border Conference / Information Sharing Day 2015 – Report
Description: On Saturday the 16th of May 2015 MDI and MDUK jointly hosted a second All Ireland Cross Border Conference / Information sharing day in Queen’s University Belfast. The event included World renowned speakers such as Professor Francesco Muntoni and Dr Ros Quinlivin.

All Ireland Conference Report 2013
Description: Jointly hosted by MDI and the Northern Ireland Council of Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, this first ever cross border event was held in City North Hotel, Co Meath on the 21st September. A range of expert speakers were in attendance from both sides of the border.

Myotonic Dystrophy Information Day Report – September 2009
Description: MDI held the first ever information day for people with myotonic dystrophy in Ireland on Saturday 26th September 2009. Out of a membership of 529 (as of September 2009), MDI has 73 members registered as having myotonic dystrophy, which is the third highest diagnosis after Duchenne muscular dystrophy and the condition Charcot-Marie-Tooth. The following is a report on the day.

Prof. Steve Wilton Presentation – October 2009
Description: On Monday 26th October 2009, MDI was pleased to welcome Prof. Steve Wilton to Ireland to speak to members about his research into exon skipping. Prof. Wilton is the head of the Molecular Genetic Therapy Group at the Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute, University of Western Australia in Perth, Western Australia.
